A | (ECNS)--Two-time Olympic gold medalist Wu Dajing has been officially named the new head coach of China’s national short track speed skating team following an open recruitment process, the Winter Sports Administration Centre of GASC announced on Wednesday. The 32-year-old Wu, a legendary figure in Chinese short track history, competed in three Winter Olympic Games. He claimed China's first and only gold medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in the men's 500-meter event, and went on to lead the Chinese team to win the 2000-meter mixed relay title at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. The ship locks handled 21,562 vessel passages and 97.276 million tons, while the ship lift managed 2,590 passages and 2.724 million tons, along with 446,000 passenger trips. The milestone came despite lock maintenance, strong winds, fog and severe weather, as well as construction of a new waterway project. The Three Gorges hub first surpassed 100 million metric tons in annual throughput in 2011. From 2021 to 2025, its annual throughput exceeded 150 million metric tons for five consecutive years.
